RespectABull is run by a team of volunteers. We deal with the day to day aspects of running a rescue such as answering countless emails and phone calls, transporting, meeting and housing dogs, vet visits, home checks, you name it! We extend to a network of foster homes and volunteers. If you are interested in helping out in anyway, please contact us. If you are unable to foster, there are still ways that you can help. The dogs will thank you for it!
Owning a dog is a long term commitment. It takes time, energy and love to provide for any breed. But the payback is enormous. Dogs are an absolute joy to be around. Provide them their basic needs and they will give you an endless amount of love and friendship. If you are over the age of 21 and interested in adopting from Respect-A-Bull please
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the adoption fee?
The adoption fee is:
$300 for Puppies
$250 for Adults
We see a dog on your site that we want to adopt, how do we do this?
If you see a dog on the site that you are interested in, you must fill out an application FIRST. You will find this under the Adoption-Foster Form header at the top of this page. This is the only way to start the adoption process, including meeting the dog. There are no exceptions!
We like a dog, can we see it today?
No. You must first fill out an adoption application first.
I have a dog that I want to surrender to you. How can I do that?
Giving up a pet is a hard decision, however we do not take dogs who are surrendered by their owner. All of our dogs come from the shelter system. If you are unable to take care of your dog, please call your local SPCA for info on what to do.
I like that puppy. How big will it get? What is it crossed with? What are the parents like?
When it comes to puppies, we can't guarantee anything! 99% of the time, we do not have a clue what the father looks like. We make our best guess on breed mix and size, but for all we know, dad could have been a Great Dane or a miniature poodle! While we can usually give you an insight into the mom's personality, we usually cannot tell you about the father.
What does the adoption fee cover?
When you adopt a dog from us, the dogs are all spayed/neutered PRIOR to adoption (this includes puppies and we make no exceptions), they have been vetted and have a health check as well as being up to date on shots.
If you have any information regarding abuse, cruelty, dog fighting or anything else that is of concern, please call Crime Stoppers, the RCMP or the SPCA.
